Hunted–
a newly mounted musical
Opening night: April 30, 2009
Featuring the hit song:
"Eye of the Zebra"
Humans are nothing but animals that
talk,
and among them, only the strongest survive.
This is especially true for a family
of proud safari hunters. Roderick and
Doris have tried to raise their son,
Ernest, with the blood of trophy animals
in his veins. To his father's disappointment,
Ernest has opted for the glee club,
a dance company and painting purple
clouds.
Now, the very reputation of the family
rests on the capture of the biggest
safari trophy of all– the mysterious
eye of the Mozambique chequered zebra.
But Father can no longer do it, Doris
is merely a woman, and Ernest may not
have the will. And, things just got
tougher with the arrival of two enamoured
peaceniks determined to protect every
living creature.
Will Ernest find the will to capture
the elusive prize and thereby win his
father's affection? Will the peaceniks
spread their message of love and save
their beloved animals? Can Roderick
end a life built on killing everything?
Does anyone realize how far Africa is
from Connecticut?
Remember: 'Love will never die... when
you look a zebra in the eye.'
