ANDREW
LLOYD WEBBER
IS TRYING TO KILL ME–
a new musical
Opening
night: July 28, 2006
Featuring the hit song:
"I Hate Cats"
Homeless shelters are not as glamorous as you think. And at one particular
homeless shelter, you could even say that things are crazy. Just ask Snake,
the guard at the homeless shelter, or Miss Pemberton, his sexy secretary.
Luisa
is a homeless woman who is convinced that Andrew Lloyd Webber (ALW) stole
her brain and steals all her ideas for musicals. Even worse, she is convinced
that he will kill her since she might rat him out... unless she kills
him first. There's only one other person who believes Luisa, and that's
the staunchly supportive Chicken Puppet Lady at the shelter. She certainly
can't count on support from the crazy guy who thinks he's Stephen Sondheim.
One night, Luisa beats up Snake to escape from the homeless shelter, only
to be confronted by the Chicken Puppet Lady and challenged to tell what
the next big musical on Broadway will be. Luisa doesn't have the knowledge
and finally has to face the fact.
ALW is "killed" in a taxi accident on the way to the Winter
Garden where Luisa was planning to kill him anyway. "Stephen Sondheim"
gets ALW's brain and brings it to Luisa. They discover that ALW's brain
is kind of small and he can still write his musicals without it. Whew!
Footnote:
No cats were harmed in the making of this musical. We can't say the
same for those who attend ALW musicals.
