DECORATE-SHUN
- a new musical
Opening
night: August 27, 2005
Featuring the hit song:
"The Sadness of Velvet Curtains"
The mansion of Elizabeth Vandermeer is going to be photographed for a
big magazine by Professor Billingsworth. but the mansion needs a spruce
up. There are 2 designers to choose from: Chandelier-Chantilly, a very
effeminate and shunned decorator from the decorating community, and Genevieve.
Elizabeth's sister Gertrude chooses Genevieve but she doesn't actually
have the authority to do so. And when Elizabeth actually chooses Chandelier
as the designer, Gertrude makes up a lie about how Chandelier molested
her.
Genevieve decorates the mansion very tackily.
Chandelier reveals that he is Elizabeth's husband who died and has come
back from the dead. Everyone abandons Gertrude, and Elizabeth excommunicates
her from the family.
In the end we learn that 'It's the inside not the outside that counts.'
