High school's a tough place to fit in, especially if you come from somewhere
where everyone knows you by name, where people eat things they grow in
their yards, and where they shout to each other from a distance. Here,
you have to be cool, because only the cool kids, like Algebra, get invited
to party. But something doesn't add up...
Will Nylon Man's secret identity and synthetic skin be revealed, or will
he remain locked in the uncool clique, never to know that he is not alone
here? Will his teacher who has been slaving away for 25 years waiting
for the appearance of 'the one who does not absorb' finally be able to
return to her home that is neither narrow nor wide? Does that old 'I spilled
wine on your blouse, now why don't you take it off' trick ever work?
No matter how nerdy or cool you are, remember that you're special. And
in high school and beyond, anyone can be anything.
