If there's one thing the Spumoni family has (besides LOTS of lasagna)
it's 'familia'.
That's family! It is full of deep-rooted tradition dating back at least
5 years. If you don't believe in family, you can just shutuppa you face!
But, their son Rico is a dreamer and not at all satisfied following the
burdensome traditions and staying put in the old neighborhood. One day
he makes his regular delivery to a local green grocer and everything begins
to change. He sees the beautiful Lillian, the owner of the bodega, for
the first time. Lillian woos Rico to her artist's garret with her talk
of sculpting and dreams. He has finally found his escape.
Will their neighbor, Mrs. Sanchez, reveal Lillian's secret? Will Mrs.
Spumoni allow Lillian to take her son away? Is there any more lasagna?
