THE
WEDDING - a new musical
Opening
night: August 6, 2005
A story of class struggle, featuring the hit song "March of the Penguins".
Ronald is marrying Sheila who is extremely vain and obsessed with being
photographed and seen by the right people. Sheila inherited vanity from
her mother who is also very conscious of society.
Ronald begins to second-guess his impending marriage when he realizes
that marrying someone above his class may not be the only problem. He
identifies more with the hired help-- an invisible woman named Mrs. Marple.
Mrs. Marple catches Ronald's best friend Steve "handling" his
bride to be. Ronald ends up marrying Mrs. Marple and Steve ends up proposing
to Sheila's mother.
A happy ending? Depends which end is up.
Even penguins get cold feet.
